The United States Civil War was the bloodiest conflict in American History, claiming more lives than any other War combined. From the time the Civil War started, in 1861, to the time it ended, in 1865, over 400 million soldiers were killed at the end of the battle.

The war was between the northern states and the confederate states. The northern states includeed California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin.  The confederate states included South Carolina Mississippi Alabama 1861July 13, 18685.Georgia,Louisiana, Texas ,Virginia, Arkansas,and North Carolina.The civil war took place during 1861-1865 the leaders of the union states was president

about 4million people fought in the civil war and about 620,000 soldiers died in the civil war. the civil war was a disagreement between the two sides regarding slavery and taxes.At the end of the war the outcome was slaves was set free and there was a 12percent tax on cotton.
